About Janis Jakes
Janis Jakes is an author of multiple romance novels, as well as two devotions. She writes stories about resilient characters who overcome the hardships of life through courage, faith, and sheer grit.
She is the author of numerous non-fiction articles under the name of Kim Nowlin, including Journey: A Woman's Guide to Intimacy with God, The Secret Place, LIVE, Vision, Christian Communicator, Celebrate Life, Believer's Bay, Women Alive, Bible Advocate, Working for Boys, Young American, and the Salvation Army magazines, Young Salvationist and War Cry.
Most recently, Janis started a Facebook page titled “Women Without Chains” to encourage women coming out of hard situations (abuse, addiction, sexual exploitation, etc.) to walk in the freedom found only in Christ Jesus.
